Half the economy of Untitled Boxing Game happens in the ring. The other half happens in the glove cabinet. The gloves are purely cosmetic โ they change no stats, hit no harder, block no better โ and yet pairs of them trade for sums that would buy a small city of style slots. This page is the complete inventory: how the crate system works with real numbers, what Ranked pays out, every event family from Beowulf to Balrog, and the collector vault where the truly unobtainable live.
How Gloves Work
Every player starts in the blocky Default pair, and everything after that is wardrobe. Four rarities structure the pool: Uncommon, Rare, Mythic, and Legendary. A fifth word you'll hear โ Unusual โ is not a rarity at all: an Unusual is any glove from any tier that rolled with special particle effects and unique punch VFX attached, roughly a 1% event on crate drops.
There are exactly four ways gloves enter your inventory, and three of them have fine print:
- Crates โ the standard path, bought from the shop (full mechanics below).
- Ranked rewards โ milestone ELO ranks award exclusive pairs. Untradeable: honor is not a commodity.
- Trading โ the player market where everything discontinued goes to live. Our trading page covers values.
- Limited-time events โ quest chains during anniversaries and holidays. Miss the window and the trading market is your only road back.
The Crate System, With Numbers
The shop always has exactly two crate types on sale, and they rotate every 6 hours. A crate costs $3,000 in match money (certain event crates have priced differently). Each crate contains a pool of exactly 10 gloves, distributed across the rarities like this:
| Slot | Count | Per-drop chance |
|---|---|---|
| Uncommon | 4 | 16.38% each |
| Rare | 3 | 9% each |
| Mythic | 2 | 3% each |
| Legendary | 1 | 1.5% |
Read that table twice, because it explains most of the Untitled Boxing Game economy: the Legendary in any given crate is a 1.5% ticket, and even the Mythics are 3% each. That scarcity is what makes the good pairs expensive on the trading market โ and what makes the pity of watching four Uncommons in a row a shared cultural experience.
Three paid accelerants exist on top. The Multi-Spin gamepass opens up to 10 crates at once for the impatient. Lucky Crates replace cash as the currency and guarantee the floor: every one pays out a Mythic or Legendary, or an Unusual of any rarity. And the Dual Gloves gamepass lets you wear a different glove on each hand, for the aesthete who refuses symmetry.
Standard and Holiday Crates
Five crate lines cycle in the shop year-round: Pain, Gems, Dragon, Sci-Fi, and Anime. Each has its own visual theme, its own ten-pair pool, and its own set of five possible Unusual effects (those are catalogued on our effects page).
Holiday crates are the same system with an expiry date. Halloween 2023, Christmas 2023 (Holly Jolly), Halloween 2024, Christmas 2024 (Jolly), and Valentine's 2026 all shipped themed pools โ and every one of them is now discontinued, obtainable only through trading. This is the pattern that makes holiday crates the most expensive purchases in the game: a fixed pool, closed forever, with a fixed number of survivors.
Ranked Gloves
Five milestone ranks in Ranked each award a signature pair: Bronze 3 grants Torn Bronze, Silver 3 grants Patched Silver, Gold 3 grants Fused Gold, Diamond 3 grants Ultra Diamond, and Champion 3 grants the Champion gloves. They cannot be sold or traded โ the only line in the game where rarity is literally earned and cannot be bought, which is precisely why opponents respect seeing them.
Event Gloves: The Trophy Wall
Event gloves are the heart of the collector economy: each family below was earned through a specific quest chain in a specific window, and every window has closed. What follows is the documented record, sources included.
The Beowulf Family
Named and designed after the weapon from Devil May Cry, the Beowulf line is Untitled Boxing Game's longest-running trophy saga:
- Beowulf (red) โ the original, awarded during Valentine's 2024 to players who bowed at an opponent at the start of a match 100 times. Sportsmanship, weaponized.
- Bluowulf (blue) โ the June 2025 two-year anniversary reward, requiring you to defeat opponents using all 24 styles that existed at the time. The twist: the opponents had to be wearing the styles, not you โ a scavenger hunt across the playerbase.
- Beowulf Reborn and Pridewulf โ the three-year anniversary pair, earned through the remastered quest system at 100 and 110 Beowulf points respectively. Reborn is a remodel of the original red; Pridewulf is an RGB variant that cycles colors fast.
- Voidwulf (purple) โ the ghost at the end of the table. Repeatedly teased by the developers, currently unobtainable; the only holders are a handful of players involved in the Void ARG on the development side (7Stackin among them). It is the community's white whale, in purple.
The Balrog Family
From Devil May Cry 5, and the deepest quest line in the game. The base Balrog was awarded during the June 2024 one-year anniversary for 50 knockdowns. Then the twist: each pair could be evolved exactly once โ one choice, no take-backs โ into one of five variants, each with its own quest and color:
- Balrog Breaker (purple) โ break 100 guards
- Balrog Greed (green) โ earn 59,999 cash
- Balrog Perfect (red) โ perform 500 perfect dodges
- Balrog Triumph (orange) โ win 50 matches
- Balrog Ultimate (blue) โ land 100 ultimates
(One community wiki page claims six evolutions; the more detailed record lists five, and five is what we print.) A mobile quirk survives in the record: Balrog's orange glow renders oddly on Roblox mobile, so the devs gave it a compensating aura. Want a second evolution? Trade for it, or grind it on an alt โ the glove itself refuses to re-evolve.
Gilgamesh
The Devil May Cry 4 weapon, awarded for Christmas 2024: fight rewards dropped crate tokens during the event, and turning in 30 fear tokens, 20 snow tokens, and 10 corrupt tokens to an NPC earned the pair. While equipped, Gilgamesh slowly changes color over time โ the quiet flex of the set.
Bringus Beater and Bringus Destroyer
Awarded for knocking down and defeating the Coach Bringus boss during Roblox's platform-wide The Games event, August 2024. UBG's contribution to a cross-platform event, and now a time capsule of it.
Troll, Whoopee Concussion, and Discovered
The joke wing of the trophy wall โ with jokes that appreciate in value:
- Troll โ given for the code
freeunusualduring April Fools 2024; an upgraded Unusual version went to players who finished the event obby by jumping off the edge at the end. The gag has a gag inside it. - Whoopee Concussion โ the April Fools 2026 stage-one reward, permanently upgradable to an Unusual version with a unique Prankster effect by finishing stage two. It plays fart sound effects on every hit you land. This is documented. Someone chose this.
- Discovered โ the corporate interloper: 5 knockdowns during the Walmart Discovered Perks promotional event, November 2025, carrying a unique yellow-flame Spark effect.
Original Line and Betas: The Collector's Vault
Before crates existed, Untitled Boxing Game sold gloves directly from a shop: simple recolors of the blocky defaults. The shop was later completely reworked, and the original line is now unobtainable outside trading. (An archival copy of old UBG exists where you can see them, but nothing carries over to the main game.)
The final three additions before the rework are known as the Betas: Sleek, "New Default," and Carbon. When the rework hit, Sleek and New Default โ renamed Classic โ were folded into the Pain crate as Uncommons. Carbon was never reintroduced. All three still circulate on the trading market as pre-rework survivors, and their age makes them some of the most valuable collector items in the game. OG color variants of the defaults trade at serious premiums for the same reason: they're not from around here anymore.
Style Gloves: The Upcoming Feature
One documented future system: mastery gloves per style. The design as recorded โ collect all titles for a style and earn a pair of gloves themed to it. It is unfinished: currently unobtainable, with only admins and balance-team members holding examples. Two have been showcased, the Counter and Smash mastery gloves, designed after V1's arms from Ultrakill. Since June 2026, style glove suggestions are collected in the official drowningsome Discord's suggestion forum. When it ships, this page will be updated with the full list โ no timeline predictions until then, because none exists on the record.
FAQ
Are gloves cosmetic in Untitled Boxing Game?Yes โ purely cosmetic. No pair changes damage, defense, speed, or any other stat. The value is visual and social: rarity, effects, and the story of how you got them.
How much do crates cost, and how often do they rotate?$3,000 per crate, with exactly two crate types in the shop at any moment, rotating every 6 hours. Every crate holds a ten-pair pool: four Uncommons at 16.38% each, three Rares at 9% each, two Mythics at 3% each, and one Legendary at 1.5%.
How do you get Unusual gloves?Any crate drop has roughly a 1% chance to arrive as an Unusual, adding particle effects and unique punch VFX. Lucky Crates guarantee at least Mythic quality or an Unusual. Note that Unusual effects are crate-bound โ the full system is on the effects page.
What are the best gloves? There's no stat answer โ they're all cosmetic โ so the honest answer is layered: for flexing, Balrog Perfect (500 perfect dodges) and Bluowulf (24 styles) are the rarest earned trophies in Untitled Boxing Game; for trading value, pre-rework Betas and OG color variants lead; for pure spectacle, whatever Unusual effect matches your style. The trading page has the numbers.
How does Balrog evolution work?Earn Balrog (50 knockdowns, June 2024 anniversary), then complete exactly one of five evolution quests โ Breaker, Greed, Perfect, Triumph, or Ultimate. The choice is permanent per pair; additional evolutions require trading or alts.
Can you still get the Beowulf gloves? Not directly โ every Beowulf event (Valentine's 2024, the 2025 anniversary, the 3-year anniversary) has ended. Trading is the only route, and prices reflect that. Voidwulf isn't even tradeable in practice: it's held only by Void ARG insiders.
Every glove line, price, and quest on this page is documented from the community wiki record (miraheze edition, July 2026) cross-checked against the Fandom archive, August 2026. Event windows close; this page is re-verified monthly.
